The Nokor Tep Women's Hospital is an initiative launched by Mrs. Ros Priboun; Ms. Janne Ritskes, the founder of Tabitha Cambodia; Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, the Cambodian Minister for Women's affairs; and Mr. Trac Thai Sieng, Vice Governor of the city of Phnom Penh. Nokor Tep Women's Hospital has been officially registered with the Royal Cambodian Government on 18th July 2011.
The hospital is the venue by which to treat women in desperate need of gynecological medical care. It is at the core of our outreach.
An Education and Prevention Unit will be an integral part of the hospital. Materials will be developed to educate women about various issues, what they can do for prevention and when to seek medical intervention.
Our Outreach to all parts of Cambodia will be through mobile clinics. Nokor Tep staff will be trained to be able to screen women in their communities; to provide education and treatments for minor ailments. Severe medical cases will be transferred to the hospital for treatment.
The hospital will have a Research Unit where studies will be carried out on the various illnesses affecting women in Cambodia.
Training in all aspects of a hospital's operations will take place.
Administrative costs are kept at an absolute minimum and are efficiently monitored.
Regular audits are conducted to ensure utmost accountability and transparency.
