Young Ambassador’s Nokor Tep Women’s Hospital Benefit Performance - Magical!

The Young Ambassador’s 90 minutes nonstop performance was a magical stunning success. Over 2,000 persons in attendance experienced an evening of highly professional, enjoyable family entertainment. It raised awareness and funds of more or less $25,000 for the construction of Nokor Tep Women's Hospital.

Amazing! Awesome! Wow! Fantastic! Marvelous! plus loud applauses in between shifts of songs are the expressions and reactions of mixed crowd of expats and Cambodians, from the ordinary people to the VIPs.

Mrs. Janne Ritskes, the founder of Tabitha Cambodia and sponsor of the event had high praise for the performance. “The Young Ambassadors delivered a performance at a level that exceeds most professional performances. This troupe is truly a World Class performing group,” she said.

H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs and strong supporter of the Nokor Tep Hospital initiative echoed Mrs. Ritskes praise. “I was expecting an excellent collegiate student performance but it exceeded my expectations. I was so impressed with the performance – it was truly professional in quality, content and entertainment”.

Shane Wright, Young Ambassador’s Artistic Director said, “We wanted to raise public awareness and funding for the Hospital Initiative. After arriving here in Phnom Penh and seeing first hand what Janne Ritskes and the supporters of the Hospital Initiative have accomplished and understanding what they have planed for the future we are very satisfied with our visit and effort to help their plans move forward.”

The Benefit Musical received financial support and generous donations from Cambodian corporations, foundations, concert patrons and the general public, which in turn was committed to the Nokor Tep Women’s Hospital at the conclusion of the performance.Mrs. Ritskes and H. E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs graciously accepted the donations in behalf of the Hospital Initiative.
