November brought a “Touch of Gold” to Singapore with our 3rd Annual Gala Dinner in aid of the Nokor Tep Women's Hospital. With a ‘Touch of Gold’ as it’s theme, this stylish event took place on Friday 7 November at the Conrad Centennial Hotel, with 180 guests attending and raising approximately $60,000 towards the construction of the hospital!
Adding extra shine to the evening were the three Nokor Tep Founders, Mr Trac Thai Sieng, Vice-Governor of Phnom Penh, Dr Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister for Women's Affairs for Cambodia, and Janne Ritskes, from the Tabitha and Nokor Tep Foundation. In a very personal and moving speech by Janne's daughter Miriam, the audience was reminded of the devastating impact of a mother’s illness or loss on her children. The evening’s key message - by giving a little, we make a big difference.
